Obituary of Jean Ann Craig
Jean Ann Craig, 79, Trenton, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 7, 2024, at home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Douglas and Edna Mary (Avery) Gratto. She was employed as a CCA with Glen Haven Manor for 10 years, however, her priority was that of a homemaker. Jean was a wonderful cook and baker, lovingly referred to as a “sixties mom”. The welfare of her family was her top priority. Her husband would “eat anything she made” and through his encouragement, she excelled at cooking and baking. Jean had many hobbies and enjoyed playing Auction 45, darts, and making baby quilts for family, friends, and neighbours. She especially enjoyed playing Bingo, have played throughout the province, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, British Columbia, Maine, Florida, and Cuba. Her artistic talents were evident in the crocheted and knitted designs she produced. Jean celebrated Halloween each year, having many visitors eager to receive her homemade fudge varieties. She was a generous lady who could always be relied on to help.
