Norm was a very special man. I'll miss his smile and caring comments in the staff room where I saw and spoke with him everyday. Norm would often asked how my day was and how the "little one" was.( he meant Felicia, a student I worked with).When she went to junior high this year, Norm would always fill me in on how she was when he saw her. Cousin Janel & family, I`m so sorry to hear about Cousin Norman (Bub) passing. He was a wonderful cousin, friend,and co-worker. We had a lot of laughs at work. He could always make me laugh when I was feeling sad.No matter how bad work was that day, he`ll have you laughing and smile at the end of our shift. Janel I wish I could be there with you and the rest of the family to celebrate Cousin Bub going home to be with God and his parents.He`ll be sadly missed but never forgotten. Cousin Bub only gone in body but not in spirit. My thought and prayers are with you all. Cousin Bub R.I.P.

My sympathies for Janelle and all the friends and family. I will always remember Bub as one of the kindest men I have ever known. He was incredibly kind to my family and children. He lived his life to the fullest everyday which is a special thing. Lennie Walser

I send my deepest sympathies to all of Bub's family. He was truly a great man. Everytime I'd see him around town he'd always say "whats up cuz"!! He was always kind and full of humor. He will be missed by many.

I was so sorry to hear of Norm's passing. He was a wonderful, kind, gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor. I worked with Norm at Temperance St. School. I taught the Four Plus Program from 2006-2008. I always enjoyed seeing Norm after school and we would always chat and carry on. He always spoke so lovingly of his wife whom I know he adored. I saw Norm as recently as two weeks ago when I dropped off some paperwork at Temperance St. School in the early evening. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Please accept my sincere sympathies. When I taught at NNEC Bubba was very helpful to me whether it was getting extra desks for my classroom or finding boxes for me to use when I was packing my classroom for retirement. He always had a friendly greeting and a smile.

To the Gero family Thoughts and prayers from my family go out to your family. And having Bub pass by such tragic means makes it even more difficult to bear, I'm sure. My sister, Heather MacDonald, worked with Bub at the school. Heather thought the world of Bub; so much so, that he was pall bearer at her funeral. Just by the way Heather spoke of him, always singing his praises and saying what a wonderful man he was, I knew he was somebody special. And I had the chance to meet Bub twice. Anyway, on Heather's behalf, and also from myself, my sincerest condolences go out to you all. May the wonderful memories of your husband/father help get you through this most difficult time.
