So many fond memories for me of my sister-in-law, Lorraine, and for Kim, to whom she was Aunt Lorraine and a Godmother. Kim still has and treasures a patch-work knitted “beanie” that Aunt Lorraine made for her as a child and which she wore almost daily in elementary school!
We both send sincere condolences and much love to all of you at this sad time.
And we wish you all only the happiest of memories …
God bless …

So sorry to hear the passing of your Mom. I worked with her at F.H. She worked very hard making sure the school was very clean and loved the children. I enjoyed meeting her in town for a chat, she always asked about my own boys. Sending lots of love and hugs.

So sorry to hear of Lorraine passing. My sympathy and prayers to all her family. Lorraine was a remarkable lady. I always enjoyed our encounters while out shopping. She would always stop and tell cute stories about your children in school. We were fortunate to have 3 children pass through Lorraine’s guidance at Thorburn school. She remembered them all by name and wanted an update on how they were doing. She treated them all like family. I will miss Lorraine for the special moments we shared. My you find strength in the love of family, and in the warm embrace of friends.

Fraser Family ~ Heartbreaking to read Lorraine has passed, lovely, dedicated community lady, all that who knew her understands this only too well. Many children remember her as (Friday's Hot Dog Lady) at the school, a special treat they all looked forward to. Remember your Mom with your hearts because it remembers best. Take comfort in this very challenging time knowing others care.
Thinking of you all ~ Barb Smith

I am at a loss for words, so shocked when I saw that Lorraine passed away. Lorraine was a great friend of my mom’s, spending many hours chatting and knitting together. I always enjoyed my visits with her after mom passed away, at her home and a few times in the manor. For a lady that loved to walk, it was so sad to see her failing and having to give up on her daily walks. My deepest sympathy to all of the family. May she rest in peace! Big hugs!

We are so sorry to read about your mom’s passing. My grandparents also had a cottage down close to your parents. It has been many years since they sold it. We would always stop and say hello to your mom and dad on the way in. Lovely people they were. My grandparents were Donald and Enid MacDonald from Thorburn. Our condolences to your family
