Obituary of Warren Bruce Jones
Warren Bruce Jones, 74, Priestville, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 28, 2024, in the Aberdeen Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Harold Bertume Jones and Gwendolyn Mary (Booth) Jones. Warren. He loved driving trucks and was employed in trucking most of his life. Warren enjoyed long drives in the country, doing crossword puzzles, old cars, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a very patient and loving man, who worked hard to support his family. Warren always made time for his family, where it be building something with his grandson, Kyle or cracking a joke with his grandson, Oaklan. Warren will be remembered for his sayings, “Don’t get your togen in a knot” and “On the road again” whenever the need occurred. He possessed a great sense of humour, quiet demeanor and “heart of gold”. Warren leaves a rich legacy of love and devotion.
Surviving are his partner of many years, Georgina Diane Tracey; daughters, Monica MacDonald (Archie Best), New Glasgow; Nancy Tracey, Priestville; grandsons, Oaklan Best and Kyle Tracey; brother, Lloyd (Elizabeth) Jones, Springhill; sister-in-law, June Jones, New Glasgow; many nieces and nephews; fur baby, Garfield,
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Christene Mills and Linda Kilner; brothers, Wayne and Bobby Jones; brother-in-law, Bill Kilner.
In keeping with Warrens wishes, cremation has taken place, and his family will celebrate his life privately.
Donations may be made in Warren’s memory to The Lodge That Gives, Halifax.
Warren’s family wish to thank the staff of the Aberdeen Hospital 4th floor and Palliative Care Units for the excellent care he received. They wish to thank Warren’s friends and family, especially, nieces, Kim (Jason) and Mary (Darrell); his nephew, Gene (Heidi); his brother, Lloyd (Elizabeth) for their love and kindness.
