Dear Karen and Justin, Langille and Samanski families,
I am deeply saddened by the news of Clinton’s passing and offer my condolences for your loss. May God bless his soul.
I have wonderful memories of dinners and parties in Ottawa, where debate, jokes, and laughter abounded often at Clinton’s initiation. He was always helpful, encouraging, and looked for the best in every situation. He had integrity, was loyal, and loved his family of whom he was proud. I always enjoyed our chats and am grateful for our times together. Rest in peace dear Clinton.

Our condolences go out to Karen,Justin and Clinton's family.
Very sad for us to hear of Clinton's health situation over the past year.
We remember Clinton as a good father,husband,brother-in-law and of course uncle.
He was a great uncle to our children and if asked would have/had done anything for them.
I always enjoyed our discussions about world views and sports(mostly hockey) during our times together.
Although we didn't always agree, but I guess it was just part of the fun of being together.
Again we are very saddened to hear of Clinton's passing away.
All the best to everybody,
John and Tanja Samanski and family

Saddened by this terrible news. Deepest condolences to Karen and family. Clinton was truly the kindest man. Although my experience with him was limited, he left a positive & lasting impression with anyone he interacted with as someone who loved his work, family, community & country. Much strength to his family.

To Karen, Justin, and the whole Langille family,
I am so sorry to hear of Clinton's passing. From the moment I met Clinton in training, his enthusiasm for life and his smile were contagious. While Clinton and I always worked in different places, we would see each other occasionally and he would always say that we should get our boys together for an outing. How many people say that and really mean it? But Clinton did - so we finally got our boys together and went white water rafting near Ottawa. I'm so glad that we did. At supper, he regaled me with stories of his time overseas and, all in all, it was a truly memorable day. My deepest condolences for your loss. Kinga

Clinton was a much-loved member of our family for more than thirty years. Whether we visited Karen, Clinton and Justin at home or abroad, Clinton was always a welcoming host and enthusiastic tour guide. He was thoughtful and kind to our parents and especially attentive and helpful to our Aunt Helen and Uncle George. We love him and will miss him dearly. He was a wonderful uncle and brother-in-law.

MY MEMORIES OF CLINTON LANGILLE
I was shocked and saddened when I read Clinton's obituary. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He is a great loss to all who knew him and I was heart-broken to learn of his ALS diagnosis. I initially met Clinton when he was a 'newly minted' Intelligence Officer who came to work for me in an area of the Service that managed our relationship with our Minister, the Solicitor General. It was not a position that a number of new IOs would embrace as they were not aware of the breadth of our duties nor the sensitivity of the work. Clinton, however, demonstrated his willingness to tackle any issue while maintaining a strong working relationship with the broad range of employees who could be fractious. He was committed to doing his best despite the challenges of working within a political environment and I am not surprised by his subsequent successful service abroad. I was very grateful to have him in our area. I was touched by Clinton's sense of chivalry one evening when we were working late preparing material for our Minister. The material was being reviewed by a Senior Manager who took exception to some of the proposed background material and was vocal in his disapproval. Clinton was very distressed that I was the object of that disapproval, believing it to be unfair. I had to convince him that I was not the target of the disapproval but that the frustration arose from the fact that incorrect information had been given to me and we would have provided it to the Minister. Clinton's desire to ensure that I was being treated fairly was heart-warming. His reaction was not what you would expect to see from a relatively new employee but it spoke volumes to his integrity and sense of fairness. I have no doubt that his large number of friends observed those same qualities over the years.
Clinton and I crossed paths occasionally since my retirement and it was always a pleasure to get caught up with his involvement in a variety of areas, such as Search and Rescue locally. Even after retirement he kept very busy while in Ottawa and I have no doubt that he continued those pursuits once he was back home. He was very happy when when he told me that he was moving down East and I was glad to see that he was going to realize his plan to be near his mother and father at the time of their failing health.
In addition to his other interests, Clinton was also a dedicated member of the Pillar Society, our retirement group, and spent considerable time and energy working towards the creation of a Pillar Chapter in the Atlantic provinces. He will be sadly missed and we are forever grateful for his efforts on behalf of Pillar.

Clinton, you were quite the secret squirrel and will never forget the amazing support you gave me and Troy when playing in your sandbox in Jordan. You were always in a good mood, cheerful and your cut was always half full. The father's day weekends we spent at your brother's cottage will be memories engraved in my mind for time eternal. Rest now my old friend,
