Norman was there for me when no one else cared . He made me a part of his family and for that I’m forever grateful. He taught me to be strong and stand up for myself . He was a stand up guy and would give the shirt off his back . Love and respect, I will see you on the other side .

Condolences to Norman's family and friends. I was stationed with the RCMP in Pictou Co "Rooster' would sooner fight than eat he had quite a reputation. One New Years eve I was called to the home of Bobby Allen regarding a disturbance involving Rooster. I was working by myself that night. Fortunately the arrrest went without incident as I thought a real battle would take place. Its good to see he turned his life around. Rest in peace Rooster God bless. Jim Wilson retired RCMP

Norman was a good friend growing up in Plymouth , Elementary School to East Pictou . Riding bicycles , go carts , the things we did not much of a swimmer lol but we had fun , hunting rabbits out back in the alders with his old 22 . Rough and tumble days over , I can still hear his laugh ! The things you remember . Ian Conway

I remember him well. He was the first one to say “do you need me to do anything about that for you”. Was a good friend during my younger life.
He was tough but he had a heart of gold.
Rest easy old friend.
My thoughts are with all the family.
Marlene Cox.

Sincere sympathy from myself and all of us at Poulain's pharmacy.
Your Dad "Rooster" was one of the most kind patients I knew in all my
years at the pharmacy. He took us all in ice cream sundaes on occasion
and there were many other treats. Had the pleasure on a couple of occasions
of seeing his restoration projects. He will truly be missed. God bless.

I have to say personally, one of the roughest, toughest, dude around. But, also, one of the kindest gentleman, to have your back, true to blue, and solid as iron. Rust Never Sleeps, R.I.P, D.A.
