Our family loved visiting Uncle Bob & Aunt Phyllis at their cottage. Bob took Dave sailing and fishing for mackerel. We enjoyed many wonderful summer trips to Nova Scotia. Bob & Phyllis introduced us to whale watching at Brier Island, and another year arranged a lovely holiday for the four of us at White Point Beach Resort, where Bob had to instantly set a fire in the cabin fireplace. He SO loved to entertain us with his many stories. Bev & Cliff

I knew Bob as Crown Prosecutor during my time with the RCMP in Stellarton from 1980-89. From my initial memory of meeting with "The Crown" and his pipe at our office, through many years of stories and the odd opinion or two, expressed with that twinkle in his eye,, he was always in good cheer and was a real asset to the Criminal Justice system in Pictou County.

My sincere condolences to Cathy,Beth & families. Since learning of Bob's passing, my mind has wondered back to the many criminal cases, that we worked on together. These memories have left me knowing as I always have, that Bob Parker was a true gentleman, a man of integrity. For his many years as Crown prosecutor he represented the interests of justice in some of the most serious crimes that were committed in Pictou County. Bob, did this with his sharp legal mind as well as with, commitment, compassion and common sense. Always taking his work seriously, but never himself. We will not see his like again. Rest in Peace my dear friend. Dave Darrah

I first met Bob in 1978 when I was a very junior member of the RCMP posted to New Glasgow Detachment. Bob was a great teacher, I learned a great deal about the law during the many cases we worked together.
Bob always had a story to tell, whether you were visiting him in his office or meeting him at Sobeys Westside. He was one of the finest
persons I ever had the opportunity to know.

Joy and I were so sorry to learn of Bob's death. In addition to serving with Bob on the Board of Directors of the PCPCSA, he was a good friend. We had many "long conversations" whenever we met. He had a great intellect and was a valuable member of our Board. He will be sorely missed.
We express our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers as you celebrate his life with cherished memories.

Dear Cathy and Beth,
So sorry to hear about Uncle Bob. I have fond memories of him from childhood when he was the " cool uncle" who took me and Cassandra for ice cream in his little MG. Anne will miss his frequent phone calls- he regaled her with stories from days gone by that always made her laugh. We're thinking of you, Nicholas, Jacob and Sophie and sending our love.

It was my good fortune to work with Bob at the Crown Office for his last years there before his retirement. He was a very intelligent man who performed his work with compassion and many had the privilege of learning from him. He was always able to convey a story infused with humour. My husband Bob attended school in Halifax at a young age with him, of which they shared fond memories in later years. To Cathy and Beth, our sincere condolences on the passing of your father, he was a fine man who will be missed.

Dear Cathy, Beth and Families,
We just read of Bob's passing and wanted to extend our condolences to you both and your families.
We have known Bob for many years, Mel from her work in the probation services and both of us from our association with Bob with the Women Alike Dragon boat society and the Race on the River, of which he was a member of the founding committee. Bob was also a member of the "Wharf Rats" and believe that he may still have a shirt from those days when we assisted the women with the launch and docking of the their boat. We will remember Bob for his sense of humour and for keeping up our spirits with his jokes.
Our best regards to you both and families.

It seems I had known Bob my entire life. He was a great friend of our late father and their great relationship always felt as it had included us. He was a gentle, kind man that had a twinkle in his eye and was always so glad to stop and say a quick hello in true Cape Breton style. Kindly except our most sincere condolences at this very difficult time, but know that through your fondest memories, his legacy he will live on. Rest In Peace Mr. Parker from The Dempster Clan
