I remember Joy well. She and I attended Linacy School, and EPRH. Joy was a fun person and also a thoughtful person who was humble and intelligent. We often saw one another and it was a joy for me to listen to this wonderful woman. Her kindness and concern for others were so important to her. My condolences to all people who knew her. Our sincere sympathy to the family over Joy's passing. We have known her son, Ed for many years as he is a best friend of my son, Glenn. When I last spoke with Joy she told me of the great visit she had with Ed and family in Ontario. She was so happy having had spent time with them. She was a wonderful person. Joy and I were childhood friends at Linacy School. I still remember our walks from Linacy to the Odeon Theatre in New Glasgow to catch a Saturday afternoon matinee. I didn't know Joy as an adult but I am sure she was a wonderful person. Condolences to the family.

Joy was a childhood friend growing up in Linacy. Though I have not known Joy as an adult, I have such fond memories of her from those early years. She sort of took me under her wing and was always so kind and sweet to me. We lost touch when my family moved away, but I thought of her often.
