Cousins and family, my sincere condolences. Your parents were such an inspiration to us and loved when they visited our house with you all. Such fond memories of our visits to Judique as children. When I think of Rod Stewart’s song Maggie May it brings me right to your farmhouse where we played it over and over. My regrets that I am unable to attend today but I plan to visit the cemetery this summer to pay my respects.
I came across this poem and would like to share it.
We Had a Wonderful Uncle
Author Unknown
We had a wonderful uncle,
One who never really grew old;
His smile was made of sunshine,
And his heart was solid gold;
His eyes were as bright as shining stars,
And in his cheeks fair roses you see.
We had a wonderful uncle,
And that’s the way it will always be.
But take heed, because
He’s still keeping an eye on all of us,
So let’s make sure
He will like what he sees.
