Obituary of Christopher Dwight Taylor
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of Karen (Logan) Furois and the late Allan Edward Taylor. Chris was employed with Swallow’s Service Center, Thorburn as an automotive mechanic, having previously been employed with Bob Allen’s Auto Sales, New Glasgow, Suncor and Thompson Bros., Fort McMurray, Alta., and several other companies during his 30-year career. He thoroughly loved his career as a mechanic and always took great pride in his work. Chris was a loyal Toronto Maple Leaf fan, to the extent that he had “win, lose or tie, a Toronto Maple Leaf fan until I die” tattooed on his arm. He loved the companionship of his cat, Cheeko and dog, Coors, who went everywhere with him and Maria. Chris loved his family and friends dearly and had a “heart of gold”, like no other. He shared a deep bond with his sister Amanda and his uncle Calvie. Chris leaves a rich legacy of love, devotion, dedication, and determination to succeed. Chris and his fiancé, Maria, were best friends and ignited a love that will last forever – “against all odds, honey we’re the big door prize”.
