Obituary of Patti Lynn (Polley) MacLeod

NEW GLASGOW – Patti Lynn Polley, 59, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in the Aberdeen Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Eric Franklin and Muriel M. (Spears) Polley. A hot cup of Tim’s and a good game of card’s would always make her smile. Patti was a kind, caring, faithful friend who possessed a pure heart. She was always there when needed and always found a way to keep positive. Patti was an exceptional mother, always willing to listen and “tell it as it is”.  Nothing came easy for Patti in life, thankfully her passing did – she is at rest.

Surviving are her son, Matthew MacLean, Chance Harbour; granddaughter, Jasmine MacLean, Stellarton; sisters, Nancy (Wade) Russell, Abercrombie; Cathi Fraser (Joe Walsh), Westville; brothers, Roy (Jerry) Polley, Springville; Russell (Diana) Polley, Sylvester; John (Jennifer) Polley, Egypt Road; Eric (Joy) Polley, Little Harbour Road; brother-in-law, Lloyd Hanson, New Glasgow; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Jeannie, in childhood and Marilyn Hanson.

The family will receive visitors 10-10:50 a.m. Friday, June 24 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.

The Polley family wish to thank the Aberdeen Hospital staff, Dr. Roy, Dr. Fahim, Dr. Alhazmi and ICU staff for the wonderful care Patti received. They wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Gerry Farrell and the Palliative Care Unit staff for the phenomenal, compassionate, care provided.

Donations may be made in Patti’s memory to her family.
