Dear Peters Family, I was shocked to hear of the sudden passing of my friend David. I knew him through the AMP race track and quickly decided I like this guy. He and I shared the same love and passion for cars and some of my best memories at the track are because of David. He once said to me it was the best course (golf) he ever played and we laughed about that for ages and I often reflect back on his words and it still makes me laugh. I will miss David and I will not forget my experiences I have had with my friend at the race track. My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Andrew Sleigh

Dear Susan and Family, I was so shocked and saddened today to hear of Dave's sudden passing ...it has been a long time since our nursing days at the Old Halifax Infirmary but it was only two weeks ago that Ron and I were at a hockey game in New Glascow and I said I would love to try and find you for a little visit and that all we would have to do is find the Honda dealership and ask for Dave....just another example of how we all should follow through with thoughts to reconnect with friends as we never know what each day will bring us ...my sincerest sympathy to you and your family Susan....Anne(and Ron)

My sincerest condolencs to Greg and the Peters family on David's sudden passing. Unfortunately, I hadn't seen David in many years - my memories go back to his earlier days as a young man when he worked with RCMP in Prince Edward Island... He fit right in from the first day and we all enjoyed his company as he continued to impress everyone with his dynamic and caring personality. He was truly a gentleman - everyone knew he would achieve success in his personal life, and also in whatever career path he chose.... what a loss at such a young age. He will be geatly missed.

Dear Susan it seems like only yesterday that you and David were here down in the "Boston States" to run in the Boston Marathon and then the shopping marathon on the same day and a night out and a Red Sox game the following morning when most of the runners were laid up and trying to recuperate from the race...We had so many good times and laughs with Daivd as he was so full of fun and life.. None of this makes any sense at all to me and it never will as this is just not right... There are no words to express how sorry we are for your loss...Im still stunned by all this..He was a good husband... awesome father to his beautiful children and a great friend to all and will forever be missed by all who have known him...May he rest in peace up at St Columbia's and in good company with Marge, Herb and Lil Herbie

We never had the opportunity to know Dave, but if he was anything like his sweet daughter Jayne, he was an amazing person. Nicolas always spoke very highly of Dave. When I got out of college.. I got to spend a whole summer on PEI putting a small cottage together and getting close with my PEI family. I met Dave for the first time...he said " I don 't like Yankees but you and your brother are ok with me " and a great friendship began. We had a great summer..lot of rum..lot of fires on the Northside..lot of laughs...and now a lot of tears. ..I don't understand this..why someone who lived life the proper way...good dad...husband...community person...good friend..generous...etc...has this happen...maybe someday I ll figure it out...but for now I say it is not fair..my heart goes out to Sue and the kids on this terrible occasion. Dave and I became good friends through his obtaining his Honda franchise. Since living close in Bedford we did a lot of mountain biking. After taking over Ceilidh Honda in New Glasgow we attended several of his staff Xmas parties and stayed with Dave, Suzanne and family. I have always considered Dave a true friend and regret not staying in touch over the last few years since I retired from Honda. I will miss him! Rennie
