Obituary of Edith Cavell Coady
STILLWATER - Edith Cavell “Edie” Coady, passed away Wednesday June 9th, 2010 in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke.
Born on June 17th, 1934, in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Henry Kenneth and Winnifred Alma (MacNeil) Oliver. She had been a hairdresser for a number of years. Edie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving are her husband; Colin Bernard Sr. “Duke”; daughters, Colleen Coady, at home; Lynda Clark, Stillwater; Marjorie Coady, Green’s Point; sons; Colin Jr. “Dukie” (Joanne), Westville; Derek “Duke” (Bonnie),Coalburn; sisters; Janie (Joseph) White, New Brunswick; Mary Schust, Stellarton; brothers; Jack (Vivian) Oliver, Stellarton; Percy (Florence) Oliver, Westville; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Marjorie Rivers; brother, Robert Oliver.
There will be no visitation at Edie’s request. A private family service will be held on Sunday, June 13th, 2010 in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Stillwater. Family flowers only please.
