STORMONT COUNTRY HARBOUR/LINACY – Mary Katherine Clyburne, 71. With sadness the family of Mary announce her passing. The wife and life partner of Stewart for 52 years, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, surrounded by her loving family. Surviving are daughters, Margie (Shannon) Hartling, Brookfield; Allie Clyburne (Larry Johnson), East Mountain; grandchildren, Jodi (Adam); Peyton; Caelan and Anslee; sister, Allie (Roy) Cameron, Trenton; brother, Charlie (Verna) Paton, Linacy; several nieces and nephews. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Robert “Bud” and Margaret Helen (Gratto) Paton. Mary was a loan officer at Toronto Dominion Bank from where she retired. After retirement she was the director of the Pictou County Help Line. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Linacy Fire Department. Mary and Stewart spent several winters in Florida where they made many lifelong friends. Family was everything to Mary and her greatest enjoyment was spending time with them as well as entertaining friends. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday March 28, 2018 in P. & K.
