PINE TREE – Mary Jennette Surette, 84, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow formerly of Pine Tree, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in the Manor. Born in Frasers Mountain, she was a daughter of the late John and Florence Mae (Reid) MacKinnon. She was a devoted homemaker all her life. Surviving are daughter, Florence (Ed) McKearney, MacPhersons Mills; son, Leo Charles, New Glasgow; granddaughter, Jolene McKearney, Bridgewater; grandson, Justin Surette, Guysborough. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Joseph “Jim” Surette. The family will receive visitors 2-4 p.m. Friday, December 26th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Interment will follow in Woodburn Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in her memory to any charity of choice.
