I read about Charlies passing this morning. I grew up in Inverness/Margaree Forks Cape Breton. I attended many dances that featured the Charlie Ward Band. I always thought they just played for the love of playing, now flashy stuff, no big light show, just great music. I especially loved his versions of beatles tunes and who can forget his version of the Tennessee Waltz. thanks for being you. RIP Charlie Barry MacPhee
