Obituary of Winston Blake Hill
THE PONDS – Winston Blake Hill, 19, The Ponds, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Dale and Doreen (MacDonald) Hill, The Ponds. He graduated from North Nova Education Centre, New Glasgow in 2006 and had been recently employed in Fort McMurray. He was an adherent of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Merigomish. He was a member of the Merigomish and District Volunteer Fire Department. Winston enjoyed fishing, working on cars with his brother and having fun with his friends.
He will be sadly missed by parents, Dale and Doreen; sisters, Madeline and April; brothers, Matthew and Robbie; special brother, Raymond; paternal grandfather, Keith Hill; niece, Shelby; nephew, Gage; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Ellsworth and Mae (MacLaren) MacDonald; parental grandmother, Joan (Morrison) (Hill) Fleury; aunt, Brenda Moriarty.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. today in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church with Rev. Gail Johnson-Murdock officiating. Interment will be in Murray’s Point Cemetery, Lower Barneys River.
