Doug informed me of this very sad news. I was shocked. I remember as kids Doug and Suzie playing in the backyard. Good times. Doug's 65th party was first time I had seen her in years. She hadn't change a bit. Full of energy and life. My heart goes out to her family. My sincerest condolences, she will be greatly missed.

I remember Susan from our chance meeting in Cuba many years ago, and how she kindly suggested our meeting to reminisce about growing up together on Lorne Street in New Glasgow. She was a kind lady and also very able as we learned that she would be partnering with you on the lobster boat in Lismore. I will be in touch with you at some point when in the County. I love my friend Doug Balfour. He has always stood apart from the many by virtue. Kindness, integrity and compassion so rarely occur in isolation and I expect that this loss was of someone very like my friend Doug Balfour.
